Fascinating article. All that knowledge I bet he's forgot more than i know. Look at all those spares and amount of tools.

Thank you for posting that Alienfox. That brought back more than a few memoires of growing up in the Swansea valley in the 60's & 70's.

Well remember "Factory Tick Tock" as it was known locally. Even by 73 when I entered secondary school, an apprenticeship at Smith's was considered a good option by the careers advice.

Absolutely, I will be visiting the states next spring, so yeah, thats on my list of things to do.

I wonder, we have an Al from NY in the forum...but I think his story and this one is different. That's, by the way, a fascinating story! Thanks for posting it, good inspiration.
