Hello

Recommended Posts

I am new to the forum and watchmaking in general. I have disassembled and reassembled a few wristwatch movements. And am slowly acquiring some nicer tools than the Harbor Freight variety I started out with.

I am working my way up to hopefully accumulating enough experience and a comfort level to repair and service my great grandfather's pocket watch. Which I suspect has a broken mainspring. So I'm sure I'll be looking for tips and advice here when it comes time for that.

So, hello. And I look forward to chatting with you all.

You have come to the right place to broaden your knowledge.

...and don't forget to also narrow your knowledge to the mainspring you need to fix! :)  Sorry Geo, I couldn't resist! But you are a good friend so I know you will be having a laugh at my silly jokes right now! :)

In any case, welcome aboard and do share your experiences with us!

Cheers,

Bob
