Display Glass Glass , How To Reattach

Hi all, i know that im in the middle of doing up our new place and there all my tools are in storage but i couldnt help saying yes to someone and seeing if i can help.

 

They have there watch glass some out of there display back case.

 

how are these attached. was there a gasket im missing, or are these glued on.. is seems a almost solid fit but no friction allowing it to stay in which is pointing me to gasket.

 

am i correct?

I would say clear epoxy glue would do the trick but someone with more experience might say different.

My Seiko display backs use a gasket.

If that one used adhesive you'd find remnants of it on the the glass or caseback wouldn't you?

Googling.... looks like its a caseback from a Raymond Weil 2720-ST-20021 or similar.

The photos dont look like theres a gasket. Maybe it is just glued in place.

Yep, I've got another one and I can't see a gasket... If I did go down the glue front, which would be best, want to make this as water tight as possible..

I like the UV-glue for gluing crystals . I think the jewelers are using the same kind of glue for gluing sapphire stones . Need to have some time out in the sun but gets really strong . And almost invisible .
