Zenith 2572PC lock washer

Hi guys,

In the last days I noticed that the canon pinion of my Zenith Surf doesn't have enough friction to move the hands nicely. So today I opened it up to tighten it a bit. It has a Zenith 2572PC inside. On this movement you have to remove a c-shaped lock washer before you are able to remove the stem, so I did that and proceeded to tighten the canon pinion as usual. After inserting the stem I wanted to put the washer back in its position, but of cause it pinged off and is nowhere to be found. 

So now I have to source a new lock washer, without it it's not possible to use the quick-set feature. 

It secures the pinion for the date adjustment. This is how it looks (dark ring behind the pinion):

I wasn't able to find one specific for the Zenith 2572PC and if possible I don't want to buy a whole movement just for this washer. As far as I can tell this should be a DIN6799 washer, but I have no idea what size I need. 

Can somebody help me to source the specific part or help me to get the right size? Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot, I don't mind buying a bunch of these. Still cheaper than buying a movement for 100$  But as I don't have a credit card I can't buy from cousins.

Okay just ordered a bunch of these from amazon. I will let you know if I find a fitting size, in case somebody will be in the need for such a washer in the future

What does the winding pinion engage with ? it looks wrong to me. Having said that looking at Ranfit it looks correct I would like to know how it works thou.

Closest sheet is this one    could be part No 425  Cliquet    Translated to clicker     (clip?)

It's not a the winding pinion, it's an additional pinion on the stem that only engages with the date disc if the crown is pulled to the third position (not the second like in most other watches). The washer fits into a groove in the stem and prevents the extra pinion from moving on the stem. To remove the stem from the case you have to remove the washer first, so the pinion is not fixed in position anymore. 

I think they chose this design, because this movement originally wasn't designed to have a date quick-set. It was just added to the existing design.

Thanks for the sheet, I was looking for something like that  but the part 425 you mention seems to be the click piece, so not what I'm looking for  

I think this specific part only existed in the 2572C and 2572PC, because other movements of this family didn't have quick-set. 

 

I received the pack of washers today, but even the smallest one was way to big. Any other ideas?

Good news guys! I remembered where I have seen these things before: On some chronographs the pushers are held in place by these little clips. So I took an old worthless chronograph and voila! Exactly the same. I removed one and it actually fits!  so case closed, thanks to all who replied.
