Sorry for such a simp!e question but I'm only just getting started, why is it that that the pallet form is not lubricated?

If you mean why don't we oil the pallet pivots. Its because it creates drag, the pallets hardly moves, just from side to side that is all. Now some service sheets will say oil them, if you do you need to make sure you have the correct type of oil that they recommend.  Pallets with no oil on the pivots will produce better time, that is what I have found.
