I inherited a clock over 30 years ago that must have been in the family almost from new. It is identical in appearance, size, as a 1907 Urania 400 day anniversary clock but apart from a serial number stamped on the back 32638, (in the same place and font as the Urania) there are no other markings except for an S and an F on the circular weight.  The dial has no markings but I understand that this is not abnormal as often retailers added there own mark. 

Is there any knowledge of a likely resource that might help provide any info. Thank you.

Take a clear photo of the back of the clock, just the works, not the legs.

Someone with the Horolovar repair guide might be able to identify it.

If it has a disc pendulum there might be a number stamped or written in pencil, this should match the main number, if the pendulum is original.  3 or 4 ball pendulum will not be numbered.

Hi As stated by Bod  If you can give a good clear picture of the back we may be able to identify the maker, not all 400 day clocks were marked up but the Horolovar book has a back plate indentification section so we have a chance. Also has it a disc or four ball pendulum.

The S & F on the weight stands for Slow & Fast.

Hi  with a good clear picture of the back plate the saddle or suspension bracket and also the pendulum rotor there is a good chance we can ID the clock.  Had a look at the book no mention of Urania most likley the finishers or retailers brand name,  most were produced by Schatz, Kundo Haller Kern Hermle (FHS) and many others.

We need clear pics to identify. If it is a 400 day (anniversary) clock and you intend to service it I highly recommend you purchase this book. It's my bible for Anniversary clocks.

Hi   I have managed to find a picture of a Urania clock, it has a disc pendulum rotor and is stamped Urania with a number on the back It looks similar to a Becker movement but we really need the pictures.
