Hi everyone,

Sorry, I know this is a question that's asked alot, but would value your opinion of the state of this mainspring.

It's an old blue mainspring, unsure if there's still life in it, what do you guys think?

Is it tired or still acceptable to use again?

Thanks.

If you can,t get a new replacement ( best option),  I guess the movement itself is a tool to measure the strength in.

I instal and measure the running time.

Just curious, what movement is this? Reason I ask is that a lot of Russian movements have hairsprings which look like this, even when new.

Most steel springs look like this, even new. If they open up bigger when band new then they look like this after one or two full windings.
