Very subtle but for those in the know, a terrific vintage timepiece with provenance :)

You see, Jaeger LeCoultre is one of my favourite makes, may Dad was in the RAF - and my birth year is 1944...

Sorry.....I feel a bit of a 'plonker' now as this is my first post..........but this is a 1943 JLC not 1944 !

I am confusing it with my 1944 Omega HS8, perhaps this is actually better for Will as he won't 'need' it now :)

Very good selection. BTW, the timex, I saw a similar model on the bay. Do you know what movement it has?

Don't quote me, but I think I was told it has a Model 31 movement?

Thanks, I suppose it is a good starting point for a research. I'm not familiar with timex at all from the watchmaking stand point that is. I've heard they are difficult to work on so I guess it would be a challenge I'm looking forward to tackle. I like the design so if I could restore one I will feel very proud wearing it!
