A good result requires a steady hand, previous experience and quality materials. There are many videos on YouTube for you to get an idea.

Hands not so bad, dials, very fiddly, of you have an incredibly steady hand you might get decent results.

Mark has videos on re luming hands.

difficult without practice. steady hands are a must. Iam an avid seiko collector and reluming an original dial is sacrilege. Collectors of seikos like me will pay 100s more for original patina lume dial. I suggest you leave it be or just buy an aftermarket dial

Mark has done a video on this.  I followed his approach and I've been successful so far--though I'm variable on getting it right the first time.  Key is to get the right consistency: neither too thick or too runny.  (Hope it's okay if I post a link to the video?)
