  1. It all started with an inquiry if I had a replacement dial for a watch that had suffered a leaked battery. Knowing it would go far beyond just a new dial, I offered a trade for the remains of the watch. Replaced dial, NOS movement, NOS circuit board, detent spring, repainted dial ring and now I am only missing one of the original Time Machine series. (second from top)

  3. Could be the detent screw is loose. Could be the pin on the detent is damaged. Could be wear in the plate/bridge allowing the stem to wriggle out. Could be a damaged stem. All but the wear are repairable by replacing parts or tightening the screw. For worn plate/bridge an oversized stem is usually made.

  4. I spent the day cleaning the movement and puting it back together, can't rush as the pins are so fine and it has 3 plates. The escapment pinion is about the thinest I have ever come across (I don't do watches). Anyway have a look at the photos and ask any questions, I took more photos, however I think this is enough. Not the clenest to start with. A few of the parts. Looks a bit cleaner now, I must have filed and blued 20 odd screws. All done, ticking away nicely.
