Hi Im leaning watch repair with an old waltham. I took off the train bridge,escapement,and balence...was able to get it back together..still doesnt work..im not to concerned about it not working right now its more just practice...however when i wind it it just spins out also the gear that hold the dial hands on the front came off. Also im not able to post pics on the site 4 some reason

You can just use this website for fast and simple uploading.

One reason that might make all the gears spin when you're winding the movement is the fact that the circled part is somehow broken or missing. It's purpose is to stop the wheels and the mainspring from discharging.

Hi this is what ive found in my movement holder the little round brass washer to the right. Im not 100% sure it was fron this movement I just noticed it in the holder. I did take apart an asian j21 about 6 months ago

Hi Thanks I did take the click spring out and put it back in I could have put it in wrong.

Ryan, your photo shows a watch movement less the hour wheel and washer. Hour wheel fits over the cannon pinon, the washer fits over the hour wheel.

The washer goes on the last wheel on top. The minute one which I believe is above the washer in your photo. You put the washer on just before mounting the dial as it's supposed to sit between the wheel and the dial.

Try to take a close-up photo of the other side as well.

Hi thanks so the dial securures the hour wheel...?, the hour wheel is supposed to just slide off...?

Yes the dial can secure the minute wheel but not always... Sometimes other parts can prevent the minute wheel from "sliding off" as you say.
