Help with a balance!

Hi guys,

I am working on a Gub watch, which was running well but hadn't been cleaned and oiled did a long time. After cleaning and putting it together, they balance starts running when I place it, but when I put the incabloc stones in and close the lock, it stops. If I take the end stone out, if starts again. Also, if I loosen the balance cock screw it starts again. I assume the end shake is good given that the watch ran before.

Any ideas to what is wrong?

Check to make sure the flat side if the end stones are next to the pivots.  If fitted the wrong way the clearance will be too tight.

You know, Geo, I made very sure about that but when I read your comment I realized I only did so for the balance cock end stone, not the main plate one... Thanks a lot for making that light go up for me! I'll try it and see if that is the problem.
