Does anyone know of a source of click springs for american pocket watches? I sent one into that place in everyone's shop where small things go to hide.

Try your watch supplier or ebay. Some times when parts go flying in the workshop they tend to re-appear. It's happened to me many times.

Post a pic or give us the movement caliber then someone might be able to help.

Its for a Waltham 1883 size 18, 15jewel pocket watch.

You should be able to get one on ebay. Someone on here might be able to help you if they have a spare.

It is a nice looking movement, too bad it is such a bear to reassemble.

Haven't got a spare spring but as a point of interest, the serial number indicates manufacture to be circa 1885
