Ronda 715 Coil

Recommended Posts

i would like to test the coli on the Ronda 715 movement. Could anyone help here please? Can I check the coil in the watch, or is it best out of the watch? Can I use a digital multimeter, if so how? Have read somewhere that an analogue meter would be much better, but have only got a digital.

Just need to know if the coil is working properly.

Any hep would be really appreciated. Thank you!

An analogue meter may have been suggested as some digital units can pass a reasonable amount of current out when testing. I'd say it's preferable, but I've always used my digital.

I'm not familiar with the 715, I would expect you'll be able to tell at least if it's open circuit or short circuit. If you can find a spec / service sheet, then it may state the nominal resistance of the coil.

Most DMMs are simple.
