Hi.

So after you service and put the dial and hands on. How do you rest movement to release the stem ready to be put back into the case ??

How do you put it face-down in the movement holder if the dial is bigger in diameter then the movement. Or maybe you cath the dial in the holder - but then how do you push against the setting lever to pull out the stem?

 

Personally, I use gloves, I turn the hands on the other side of the dial then the crown and while holding against the dial and pulling the stem with one hand, with the other I push the setting lever.

 

 

If anyone has any better ideea, I would like to learn it!

I use one of these for dial down movement holder scenarios, removes the risk of scratching the dial.  Its a Bergeon 4040P
