As a temporary measure we could have a " to trash " email, it takes a of couple minutes to set up . I've just used yahoo , so staying out of the microsoft and google zone. I know that IP addresses can be pulled from just about anywhere by folk clever enough, i prefer not to get too paranoid about this stuff. My daughter was got hacked massively a couple of years ago by a random scammer, he got into all of her accounts except her banking. It was a headache but she fixed it and no real harm done. Waggy's list now has my name but my wife's maiden name and a yahoo email that's it. Safe ish but contactable. -
This is not a "fashion" watch, it was made in 1972. The first time I tried to open it I used a knife blade and hammer to start it, then used the opening tool. I thought it might be stuck with gunk, but cleaned it all up and its just the same. There is no gasket. It's so tight that I cannot hold it down with my thumb whilst trying to prise it with the opening tool. I just have to keep tightening the tool until it pings, which is starting to damage the case. If I leave it as it is, there is a chance of damage to the watch when it is opened. So I feel I need to do something. I just ran a very fine file around the back of the case. I barely removed any metal, and now it fits nicely. Tight, but I can prise it off with the case remover 😀

I'd try to cut one from thin brass sheet? That's readily available and easy to work. Cut a strip with the length just less than the original part circumference, wide enough to include the tabs, then use a nibbler to cut the excess away between the tab positions. (This type of thing, if you've not seen them) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256437891452
