Balancestaffs.com/windingstems.com down?

Recommended Posts

I've long used balancestaffs.com as a reference when making staffs, and have bought from them as well. As of 3-4 days the site is totally down, anyone know anything? It was a great resource and easy to use site- and easy to order (and good pricing!). I hope it's not gone forever- yet another supplier! I actually ordered a staff maybe 2 weeks ago (got it in just a few days), no issue whatsoever.

I keep all my bookmarks in separate folders like watch repair So they're easy to find. Then I don't necessarily delete them just because they're gone. Because who knows maybe they're not permanently gone and it seems to be up and running again at least the homepage I'm a gone beyond that

I still unfortunately get no response but surely worth trying now and then.

It would be nice to figure out how to clone the site for safekeeping just in case. Then unfortunately you're right it just times out as there's nothing there. But it was there the other day which was weird maybe it will come back again hopefully.

This is one of the biggest problems with the Internet the convenience of stuff at the tip your fingers that can disappear instantaneously and never come back ever again.

Try windingstems.com that is working for me, you can access both staffs and stems from there .

I'll try to look at writing a scraper to get all the data this weekend (assuming the sites are up). I did the same with the Ranfft site a few weeks back when it was looking like it was going to disappear soon.

I won't do anything with the data after scraping, just keep it in case these sites ever disappear for good as I share your concern about data on the internet, the amount of amazing resources that have been lost is a shame.
