Hi everyone! I have had a growing interest in horology over the last year and have finally decided to properly try my hand at it. Formal education, as many in here have noted, is scarce in Canada so I am very thankful to find this forum 🙂 I have reached out to some watchmakers in my area and everyone is so friendly! It seems to be a really lovely community. As of now I have disassembled and reassembled an ETA movement with supervision through the nyhs traveling education and dang it felt good seeing it jump to life! Any recommendations on first tools to purchase, books to read would be very much appreciated! Looking forward to learning from and with you!
