Hallo from Minden, Germany

Hallo fellow forum participants

My name is Robert and I recently started watch repairing as a hobby to facilitate the upcoming step into retirement.
In real life I am a chemical engineer working in the environmental business.

My first two movements Lorsa P75A (manual) and Seiko 7009A (automatic) have finally come to a second life.
Though I had several tries on each to learn the basic steps.
Both had defect parts to replace.
A good microscope and hopefully a parts data sheet is the key to me.

What I like to use, besides the common basic watchmaking tools, are two mobile apps: the Timegrapher app and the Lepsi magnetism detection app. They are quite useful and affordable.

My current project is an Omax with an AS 5206 automatic movement that is totally worn out. You can see the gears tilting.
So I will have to evolve some staking skills on that or replace many of the parts.

The next big thing will be a Chronograhe Suisse with a Venus 170 movement from the 1950s...

I hope you guys don't mind another hobbyist thats likes to spend time on tiny moving things 😀

Robert
