I'm KeylessWorks

Repaired and restored several pocket watches and men's and women's wrist watches for fun.  Particularly enjoy disassembly and repair of Timex mechanical manual and automatic wrist watches.

Is there a separate Timex forum where I can post pictures and inquiries?

I have a 1960 M22 movement Timex watch in a one piece aluminum case without lugs!   DId TImex make pendants for this watch?  I have a late 1950's - early 1960's catalog which shows the dial on my movement but in a case WITH LUGS.   Was the LUGLESS watch made for a pendant?  My watch has a standard length stem.

Welcome Keylessworks,

There's a fair number of Timex fans (myself included) lurking here and a huge wealth of knowledge. Have you any photos to post here? I'm sure someone would be along fairly quickly to answer your question once you do. Good luck, it's one huge rabbit hole!

not likely is that one lug broke off so the owner just cut the others off.

Thanks for the intro @Keylessworks welcome to the WRT forum! I'm also relatively new and I'm in the middle of my first service of an Elgin Grade 313 movement which has been stalled for a while as I was waiting for oil and a mainspring winder. Well, my oil arrived today and luckily I picked up an identical 2nd movement so as I disassemble that one it will help me remember how to re-assemble the first one! I've posted some shots of my watches here.

I am very late in responding to your feedback on the 1906 M22 moveoment in an aluminum case without lugs.

Here are two photos, one showing dial face and the other showing what looks like  a broken off "lug" for a chain.   I wonder if this fit into a desk holder or pendant.

Any thoughts?

I studied this 1960 Marlin one-piece aluminum watch case more closely.  YOu were corect that the lugs were removeed.  My question is why do that?  Attached is a pdf file showing what I found

best guess is that one lug broke off and the case was modified to be used in some other type of display.  Or someone just had nothing better to do that day!.
