Incabloc springs for ST3600

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I’m looking for replacement Incabloc springs for the Seagull ST3600. I don’t want to spend $$ on another movement just to get the springs since this is/was my first practice movement. I tried a NOS spring from the ETA 6497 but is is too big (not surprisingly I guess).

anyone on the forum have a junk ST36 they want to part with with springs attached?

thanks

The ST3600 seems to be based on the 649x-2 movements, fwiw.

But I note that the top antishock spring on my ST3621 is also too large. It won't hinge up.

Yes based but not an exacta replica. From what I can tell the only way to get parts for it are a) live in china or b) purchase another movement and cannibalize it. Neither of these options work for me.

My mentor conducts watch repair classes using Seagull movements. Somehow, he seems to have an endless supply of all the parts students are likely to damage/lose, like hairsprings, balance wheels, pallet forks, shock springs, click springs, etc.

I'll ask him where he gets his supply from.

That would be extremely helpful! The lack of easily available spare parts for Chinese clones is one reason I find it difficult to recommend using them for practice, at least for total beginners.

I just got a reply from my mentor. He says he buys bare movements from the factory and strips them for parts. Others he buys from Taobao or AliExpress.

I've seen a lot of interesting things on Taobao but my Chinese is just hopeless. I can't even read kindergarten level readers.

The only items that are on Taobao but not on Aliexpress are  these that really cannot be exported, as in lacking any type of certification, traditional foods and medicine, blatant counterfeiting, etc.

That is super cool, thanks. Where are you located?

Hello Guys

I'm new in the watch restoration. I have similar problems like @ifibrin. During Mark Video Course I lost the upper Incabloc spring and im looking for spare parts of the clone of eta6498 the seagull st2130. Can i just use the hole kit bloc of a eta6498? or there are more differences between the movements?

Like this one? https://www.ebay.ch/itm/143189788392?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=5222-175126-2357-0&ssspo=hL35BJNHR7W&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=lZNjmIFsQWa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Thank you
