But no.  Thanks to Thingiverse and my 3D printer, the pencil sharpener is working again.  Save the landfill!!!

This actually reminds me of an article I read once.

NASA spent loads of cash on developing a pen to be able to write in space as there is no gravity the ink did not flow to the tip.

When the iron curtain dropped they had contact with the Russians and asked them how they managed to solve that problem. 

The answer was : just buy a pencil

I generally do not print anything I can buy.  This was an exception.  I found replacement gears for about $10.  But...this was just too easy.  Load it up and hit the "print" button.

LOL...you guys!!  My wife is happy and that is all that matters.  I like the pencil holder though...pretty cool.
