Wall clock by Kienzle with date, how it is supposed to work?

I got this cool old wall clock. The time moves as expected, but not the date. I took it apart, and can't figure out how the date wheel is supposed to move? Any ideas?

I would say the movement has been changed that does not have a day facility. This is one I found in the net.

Clockboy is correct, only thing to do is to change the movement, You will probably find it failed at some point and was removed

I did find a wall clock that was quartz but the date was changed manually by pulling a cord. Sorry I have lost the link.

Ok thanks, guess I'll have to find a new movement then. If that is possible.
