Howdy from SW Florida!

Hi All, I’ve always loved time pieces, as a kid I worked in a clock shop, well I swept up and Mr. Boyd helped foster a love of mechanical things.
I recently got into watches with a DIY watch club kit for my birthday. I am wanting to start servicing movements. I told my mom to keep an eye out for old mechanical watches at thrift stores and yard sales. She told me that she had a couple of “cheap” ones of my grandfather’s…. they aren’t cheap… a nice Hamilton that needs a lot of work and a lecoultre Deep Sea Alarm! I about fainted.

I am looking to learn more and found a service bulletin for the LeCoultre movement here and had to join.

I am jumping feet first in (not servicing anything valuable yet) but I want learn and have fun with this and get both watches working and on my wrist.

i look forward to learning from you folks.
