Hello from France

Recommended Posts

Thank you.

I have a GMT Master (about 15 years old) which won't self-wind.

It is a genuine Rolex and has been serviced by Watch Doctors in the UK who are most helpful but have not been able to fix the self-winding.

If I hand wind it it runs for about 48 hours keeping Rolex time (rather worse than a watch I bought in WallMart for $7) and then stops.

I have made sure the bracelet is tight on my wrist and, because I'm elderly but not yet dead, I asked a younger friend to wear it but it still stopped.

Rolex have been completely useless 'A Rolex is for life not just for Christmas' Bah ! .

At the moment it's languishing in my safe but I would like to bring it back to life.

Having seen how meticulous the Boss Man is on his videos I wonder if he can fix it.

Fix for a reasonable price, can't get the parts or can't figure out what the problem is?

Thanks

50 years ago I used to make watch parts with my beloved Lorch lathe (for sale if anyone wants it) but now I'm too old and shaky even to think about pulling a Rolex to bits so it needs someone who really knows what they're doing to take a look and, hopefully, fix the damned thing.
