I Be New

I was lured into this hobby by Marks watch repair videos online. His quiet voice and calming demeanor got me thinking "How hard can this really be?"  This sort of thinking has got me into big trouble in the past but I took the bait and I am now in neck deep.  My first victim was an old crappy dead pocket watch. It didn't survive surgery attempt. I did learn a lot about watch movement handling and tool use. I expect this hobby will be with me for many years to come.

This new hobby reminds me of working on Volkswagen's in my earlier years. Here is one of my favorite VW pictures:

I have been diving dictionaries, searching the net for words to say what you just did about Marks voice, quiet voice and calming demeanor, I also like his accent if thats the right word and wonder if his is a londoner accent, his pronounciation is always refreshing too.

My first hobby was overhauling VW short blocks. So special welcome to you.

 Welcome to the forum pal.
