Dad’s Cortebert

My Dad recently passed and I received this watch through the dispersion of possessions. I would like to have it refurbished as I have no skill or tools to do so.

I can’t imagine that it is a very expensive watch but can I trust to just any watch shop to tidy it up or should I be looking for a ...Cortebert specialist?

That’s a good quality Swiss brand who actually were contracted to male watches for the British Military during WW2, so that gives you an idea of quality. 
 

Any respected watchmakers should be fine to work on it.

Agree with Rodabod. I love Cortéberts and working on one now (pictured). Agree that any proficient watchmaker should be able to service your Dad’s watch, which I’m sure you’ll cherish wearing.

Any watch shop, no. Any respected watchmaker, yes. There is a big difference.
