Evening, I've been staring at this for far too long and my web searching has been fruitless, though interesting in respect of other watches. I can't be the only one with this issue. This is my sons Timex, he likes it a lot though somehow managed to knock the bezel off. Doesn't know how and lost the bezel for some time. Luckily he found it again! My first foray into case issues and I'm learning. Now I'm guess the missing piece is a spring? Would anyone know what shape/size it is? I'm looking to perhaps fashion a replacement or source something similar. I've tried the dental floss trick to hold it on, making it bi-directional. It works to a fashion but doesn't fill me with confidence. I'd really like to give it, it's click back. In terms of tightening it (last picture) I guess by bending the wavy wire to make it grip better or would the ratchet spring be/should be sufficient to hold it in place? Thanks in advance

I have the exact same dilemma struggling to remove the Stem. Did you get this sorted? How did you do it? -

Hi i was wondering if you had looked at the photos of the watch. Do you know what it is. Obviously it’s very old. But as to the maker I have no clue thanks. 🙏 -

John, the plate (actually the barrel bridge) is not worn or at least this is not the problem. The big washer (which is also part of the crown wheel bearing) under the crown wheel screw in You movement is missing. If You put it as should be, then the movement will wind normally. But, as the crown wheel is now a little worn on the bottom side, You may have to put it upside down. A little ugly, but this is USSR movement
