Hi

I'm for ever been corrected for using the wrong words for watch parts. the book iv'e got is from the 1950s so i suppose words change.

Can any one suggest a site or book or download were the words for watch parts are up to date.

A diagram with the name connected to the parts would be nice.

That's what i've got now.

I guess i should be using the right terminology.

thanx

You should have posted in "chat about watches".

Check attached service sheets, parts are named in multiple languages. You can also buy CDs of (old) watchmaking books for cheap on Ebay, parts name don't change, there can be some regional variation whci doesn't matter much.

NOT TO WORRY;    it is a problem  caused by the internet.  and authors.    like "crown gear" or castle gear or "hunting case" or just "hunter".   we can live with it.   vin  p.s.   i like the above posted "time zone watch school"  closssory.    spelling is also a problem with the older guys.
