Bulova 11AO Plastic Spacer Shrank

My first wrist watch clean and lub with complications.  Day, Date & Autowind!  Yippee!  Sourced a junk movement for parts and it runs again after being dead in a drawer for many years. Thanks for the lessons, Mark!

However- - -

The plastic ring has shrank. (Shrunk?)  Anyway it's too small.  It lets the movement wander around and the stem won't work or even install properly.  I'd rather not try and replace it with another ring. 

I've thought about cutting the movement and adding a piece, but it is a rough feeling white material and looks brittle.  Guess I could wrap it with tape?

I'm sure others have been there before.  What did you do?

Er, ah.  Nevermind

Spacer was upside down!  Walked back to the bench and it was startlingly apparent.  There's even a ridge which connects to the movement edge and holds it.  The bridge cutout goes OVER the stem instead of under.

That watch was put together wrong when I got it years ago!  That's why I could never set the date!  I made another repair!

She runs a little fast on the Watch-O-Scope, but run she does!
