removing ratchet wheel from pocket watch

How to remove the ratchet wheel? I am trying to take off the barrel bridge to reset the winder

You need a tool which has two 'prongs'.

It seems large enough that you could sacrifice a cheap screwdriver and file the centre off the blade.

Looking at the pics I would say the watch at some time has had water ingress and therefore it is rusted on. You need to soak with a rust remover for a few hours then gently lever it off from at least two sides being careful not to distort the wheel. I use horosolve rust remover and when the part has been removed some use strong tea.

That is a five bar movement. If you have a pair of round nose pliers that should do it. A old pair of tweezers cut them back into stubs will work. I had an adjustable tool that was purposely made for this work.
