Hi All,

I have a L'epee clock that I got off Ebay, it was in a pretty bad state, the dial looks liked it had been through a mangle, I kid you not (photo Attached)!! and someone has had a go at trying to tidy up, when I say tidy up, they need not have bothered, covered in tipex or something like it, anyway only fit for the bin.

Question does anyone know where to get a replacement? I have emailed Epee a couple of times and they never have answered. Yes I am looking on Ebay and nothing, people tend to hold on to things like this, I have made a temporary dial out of card and laminated it...It does not look to bad laminated, it will do until I find a replacement..Any help appreciated

L'Epee is Swiss owned and like most Swiss company's they wont release parts it is more lucrative to offer a full restoration service for your L'Epee clock and charge the earth for it.

I think your only option would be full dial restoration by a specialist  which would probably work out less than L'Epee would want to charge you for one anyway.

The laminated dial looks O.K .

What an absolute mess. The only way is a complete restoration. This place sounds right. It will cost quite a lot.

Thx Oldhippy for the info, that looks like a great place, just wondering if it worth doing, it looks like someone bent the top of the dial and in doing so cracked all the enamel..It really is worse than it looks..

Hiya, yes I think that they would like to do a full restoration, I have already done the hard part, stripped clean all parts polished by hand, it is working a treat albeit with the laminated dial, I must admit it is very hard to tell the difference once fitted in the clock..Still. L epee could have had the decency to email back.

You cold contact them to find out if they could undertake such a task and a rough cost.

Yes I could do that, may be worth it.. I suppose it will have to be made from scratch, if it's going to be £100 or more would definitely not be worth it..
