I've inherited a pendulum clock with a broken pallet (please see photo) & I'd be grateful for advice as to whether, & if so, how a repair could be effected. As adhesive - even if it were strong/durable enough - would slightly alter the pallet geometry, I was wondering if a suitably shaped brace could be spot welded to each side edge to effect a connection but could the pallet be cast iron & therefore likely to fracture?. Also, what terms should I use (e.g. descriptive of the type of pallet) in searching for a replacement online?
