Scubapro 500 crystal change.

Anyone changed a crystal on a Scubapro 500?  Haven't got it yet but doing some investigation how to find a gasket . I think it's a o-ring. As it failed the pressure test . Hope the movement works as i have recently serviced it. And didn't get wet from the leaking gasket.

I have not worked on a Scubapro but looking at some images on the net I would say it is friction fitted much the same as Seiko diver's. I think Mark has a vid showing how to fit using a crystal press.

By far most watches of this type are friction fitted so I'm sure this one won't be an exception. You should check the cousins website and you'll find there both the crystal (whichever type it may be) and the gasket for it.

As far as i now there is no Scubapro parts at cousinsuk?  The crystal is attached about the same as a Seiko 7c43 . This is one of my watches that has the same construction.  As you see the crystal ring is screwed on. under there must be a gasket. Time will tell how and with what the crystal is sealed. And if i can find a new gasket?
