Over tightened Casebacks

Recommended Posts

I buy from AliExpress for about 5 years now and it's basically like the Chinese version of Amazon, although they've got some issues of trust with the rating I have found, roughly, in general, the more expensive stuff is okay and in case of a problem I usually file for a dispute. in fact, now many sellers on Amazon and eBay are selling with direct shipping from A.E. with the seller's name on the invoice, so you can't even tell (A.E. has this program now). So, anytime you will see China on eBay and Amazon or 30 days shipment it must be a hint. I actually have just received my new Timegrapher about an hour ago from them and about to unbox it.
Interesting. So when you buy from AE, do they, within their service handle any vat and import duties if appropriate, to the UK. Or does the customer this end have to deal with it. Also what courier service UK end is used ?
I've found Royal mail/Parcel force very good and normally deal with any Vat and import duties on your behalf but they do charge for this service

I can't answer any of the questions unfortunately because I'm based in the U.S. and here I don't have any problems with these issues, although I tend to stay in Israel working as a Photojournalist and I order items while there as well and in Israel they use the local post office service. for expensive items they charge extra (since for the cheap stuff most will ship free) they may specify DHL, FedEx, etc. and of course charge accordingly (you should read whether shipping is free or otherwise how much it'll be). About the VAT I think they are charging whatever the item cost and let you deal with it, I am not sure.
