What's this?

Hi, I am pretty new to this forum and this is probably a silly question, in the top right hand corner I have a little red ish circle with a "1" in it, what is it? I have tried touching it but nothing happens! Sell nothing that I am aware of.

Sorry, I'm completely stumped, a photo might make the challenge more accessible...

Can't take a photo... At the top there is a black line. To the right of the line there are three icons. A square one, a search/spyglass one, and another Square one made up of three white lines. It's the one made up of the three white lines that has the red circle with the "1" in it.  Hopefully this helps.

The "burger" icon is a menu button. Gives access to Activity, resources, support etc.

The number in a circle might be a message waiting.....???

Browser issues maybe?
Try dumping cookies etc
