noirrac1j
Today is a somewhat shabby Girard Perregaux manual winder with sub seconds, which is my latest favorite look. The movement is an adjusted caliber 03BE. Most parts are exchangeable with the AS1130, which is great. This one is a strong runner and I did replace the mainspring, but other than that it was a bargain at just over 20 dollars. There's a lot of examples of these selling from South America (Argentina in particular) but they usually are quite expensive. J

noirrac1j
Thank you. The name sure sounds French, but I think it is Swiss from its inception. J

The GP O3 calibers began around 1945, so I would say this 03BE without Incabloc shock protection is from about that time http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?00&ranfft&0&2uswk&Girard-Perregaux_03
WillFly
Lovely watches. I treated myself to one for my 70th birthday. This one's a cal. 23, probably mid-50s.
