Can anyone help? I puchased a beautiful Audemars Piguet RB3 Rep from InTime a couple of months ago, I have worn it only twice, but today when I came to it there was a problem.
The watch was "dead" when I came to put it on (obviously), so i woke it up with a few gentle shakes of the wrist and it sprung into life. I changed the date and the time, but noticed that the minute hand wasn't moving. As far as I can see all the subdials are working with the exception of the middle centre one (hours).
The top right button sticks in now when pressed - this starts the main second hand, but it can gently be pulled out with tweezers and you can hear a "click" when you do.

it has the A7750 movement.

This was a very expensive Rep and i'm gutted that it isn't working, but surely it can't be for the bin?? can someone shed some light, or offer advice on who to send it to to get it repaired?
I am in England and would be very grateful for a point in the right direction!!!

Welcome to the forum.

It doesn't sound like a major problem at all if it's running.  Sounds like one of the pushers may have locked something up. I haven't quite gotten to a chronograph movement yet, but many here have.

I would suggest you re-post, and ask for help by phrasing your request as having to do with an Asian 7750 clone: don't mention Audemar Piguet because it is not that. 

Most watchmakers will not work on a clone for some reason, even though clone movements have been kitchen tested as being just as workable as Valjoux/ETA.... But some people just don't look kindly on them.

Welcome to the forum from me too aerohot. I'd say post some pictures? The problem with Replicas is sometimes the movements and/or parts as difficult to either source or not "economical" to repair. Just for the sake of the example, how much is someone willing to pay for a -- let's say -- a Chinese ETA clone (about US$50 - 80) for a full maintenance/lube/repair if the watch is only about US$100 complete? A 7750 clone goes for about US$100 - 150 for the movement...The work is the same as for an expensive/quality Swiss counterpart. Needless to say the math is not there.

That in addition to the ethical problem of copywrite, patent infringement, etc.

It won't have a real guarantee, it's a "rep" (a  new euphemism).

I'm sorry, you said you bought this replica Audemars from 'InTime'? Can you elaborate on the where and the how? I'm sure you don't mean 'In-Time Watch and Jewellery Repairs'? They don't sell Rep watches, unless it was a staff member selling it to you unofficially, person to person.

I think OP bought from www.intime.co

In my country fake watches are 100% illegal, both buyer and seller can be prosecuted. I don't think the UK is different.

it's very difficult to enforce. It would mean inspecting a great percentage of packages destined to individuals. It is probably enough that these are not sold highway side like years ago and the number of scams is reduced.

      Kundo - anniversary clock; suspension spring

      Hello dear friends, I just bought old Kundo watch... but it is super fast. I need to change suspension spring. Does somebody knows which dimensions I need? Watch is tall almost 30cm (11.8").  Dimensions of the spring mounted on the watch are - 126mm (4.96") x 14mm (0.055") x 0,08mm (0.0032").  Since the spring is bent, I'm not sure if these are the correct dimensions. It was measured with a ruler. On the Internet I find several different dimensions of springs for Kundo watches. Can you please help me and say which of these springs would be suitable for my watch? Pictures are from German watchparts seller. He said that they are original for Kundo anniversary clocks. They have marks 1, 3A, 3B, and 3C. I'm planning to buy just a longer spring and try to make the whole thing by myself, but I need correct measures. Is the fork on the existing spring properly mounted? Isn't she facing the wrong way - upside down? Thank you very much!

      That Waltham is at the top of the tree when it comes to their models. Lovely looking movement.

      I think the lume may of been added by a tinkerer, it looks a bit sloppy.

      👍You got it John, but i can think of other worse scenarios that may sway a decision. I know people that have sold things when they were broke and then regretted it in the future and wished they had found a way around it. Everybody has different sentimental attitudes, different thresholds, limits to what makes them capable of doing something. An example is my cousin who is not at all sentimental and parted with my grandfather's watch which he gave to me via my mum. But yes that comment you made is the basic idea, just a timepiece that you value the most, and you are least likely to part with. I'm not a pocket watch fan just yet Mike but that is gorgeous both inside and out and the fact that it was there at the start of your journey and proves testament to your dedication, skill and found forte makes it extra special. These are the ones that can be passed down the family line placed in the hands of someone that will continue to cherish it. Beautiful timepiece 👍

      I've grown very fond of my Longines 30L. Nice and simple, elegant, and very accurate.  But if I had to choose one, it would be one of the pocket watches I first started working on.  And this is is my favourite : a 16s Waltham Riverside (Model 1899) made in 1903.  19 jewels, Breguet overcoil, and adjusted to 5 positions. The centre wheel is rose gold plated. The damaskeening and perlage are stunning (and very difficult to photograph, the pic doesn't do it justice).  When I last cleaned it, I wore it for a week (on an Albert chain of course). It was amazingly accurate, about 1s to 2s /day as I remember. Not bad for a 120 year old watch (and me as a learner).
