Okay there's only a handful of parts in a power train. I swapped every single one out with a confirmed working replacement to see if there's any change in the behavior of this watch. This seems like pretty basic logical troubleshooting stuff for anything.

Just so others can imagine what all they are missing which can be learnd from Mark's  fault finding course, which I haven't taken ( wish I could )  but have seen a few free lessons by him on youtube.

What you done and say above, is not troubleshooting.  its eliminating , a tool to resort to for when you can't spot on the fault but have found its whereabouts, such as , when  damage to a escape teeth is only visible under microscope and you don't have a microscope, if you gained good amplitude and nice steady lines on tg, by replacing the escape wheel !   you conclude the fault was there , without actually seeing the damage.

Which chrono is it? Hopefully a vintage Landeron or Valjoux with loads of eccentric studs.

The calibre used to demonstrate the overall chronograph concept, parts, and functions is the Venus 175 which, I'm sure you already know, is a pillar/column wheel-based movement. From there @Mark also introduces and demonstrates how to service the Poljot 3133 and the Valjoux 7750. There are chapters for how to service all of these calibres that also explain the differences. There are also three videos about adjusting chronograph movements which I now understand is critical.

I am actually a little extra happy that calibre 3133 is included because it is the only chronograph I own and is also in urgent need of a service and adjustment.

It won't be long until your doing walkthroughs of them Haken!

Great movement to work on. In fact, in design it is slightly better than a 7733 and one extra jewel and a date!
