I've been watching too many YouTube videos on watch repair and I thought I'd give it a go. I've been retired from Intel (not completely by choice) and have some time on my hands.

I have a watch shop in my neighborhood but I can't keep asking them all my beginner questions and I'm really only working on my second broken ebay watch today. The first one I sheared off the top of the crown wheel screw by winding the watch without having the pivot installed. The second one the click spring went flying and I can't find it, plus I can see the central jewel is cracked.

I have questions on whether I need to replace the jewel, and if anyone sells click springs for an Elgin 714 movement.
