Hi dear Members,
I'm Marton from Hungary, 47yo, just started to dealing with servicing/repairing old watches last year, after taking Mark's online courses (which were awesome and cannot thank Mark enough!).
I started with taking apart my existing 2 soviet watches that are known to work OK, cleaning and servicing them then put them back together. It was such a fascinating feeling when they were working again, and I did not screw up anything! 🙂

I recently obtained a microscope that has enough space below to work on watches at 10x size. With this, working on watches are even more pleasure.

Unfortunately I am way too busy to work too long on something because I have so much other things to do, and I also lack of space here at home. That's why I'm very happy to find this hobby because when I'm done, I can just put everything in a box, and set it aside safely, no need to build a garage or rent a shop.

Currently I'm waiting for four automatic watches
from the bay to be serviced, so I will practice some more soon! 🙂

Have a nice day,
Marton

Thanks a lot, happy to be here 🙂

In one of the Watch Repair Courses in Level 3, Mark was referring to the Resources menu here on Watchrepairtalk, but for me it seems like the link may be broken.

It's going to https://www.watchfix.com/2019/11/08/watch-parts-tools-suppliers/ but then is redirected to an "oops not found" page.

Can anyone know how to access that resource database? 🙂
