Seiko Bellmatic - 4006a - Should I stop before I even start? haha

Recommended Posts

It was just a poor attempt at humor after seeing the current condition of the movement.  I plan on cleaning and reusing everything possible.  It's been fully disassembled now.  At first glance everything looks like it can be salvaged, but I'll do a detailed and close up inspection of each part tomorrow.

Honestly, that doesn't look too bad.

How's the case and dial?

The case is very rough.  I only got it because I loved the dial, which appears to be in good order.  The hands are missing lume and bent.  It basically needs everything addressed but the dial itself.

About to dig into this one. I’m wondering if it would be easier just to find a donor movement now, haha!

I've resurrected far worse into great time keepers, so if I can do it I am sure you can too!
