My goal is to keep the original intact if possible.  It is a cheap band, but historical for the owner.

There is some leather laminated, but the rest is synthetic I believe.  I was wondering about soaking it in some friendly solution to soften the material.  Then once dry, I can use shoe goo to glue the delaminated pieces together.

Is this a waste of time?
