Attach Buckles To A Rubber/plastic Strap

Hi there,

 

I was hoping for some advice on whether there was some form of buckle that could attach to a rubberised strap which is similar to the way that a metal mesh band buckle can "grip."  I have a fitbit charge which has a rubber strap where the end split and released the buckle.  I was hoping to cut the ends off both slides of the strap if I could find some way of attaching buckles.  So, I thought I'd try to post on this forum.

I think there are different bracelets and straps out there on ebay and the internet . I u search for fitbit charge straps ?
