Hi I recently acquired a slava 2414 watch that has a bad click or click spring  I don’t know what a good. One looks like  does anyone have any idea what a good one looks like

Could you post a good close up photo of the click and click spring? That would help our members here tell if your parts are ok.

Wow! You have to be born under a lucky star, @BigT.

I just received this watch in my mail 3 days ago. It was procured from Ukraine and took over a month to arrive. I had almost given up on it.

I thought,  what's the chance that the movement inside is a 2414? And guess what?

Here you go.

Hector's photo is showing you the correct side up fit of the click. The spring fits underneath the click . One end of the click spring in the mainplate the other end in the far right notch of the click. The other two notches in the gear teeth of the ratchet wheel retaining the power. Perhaps Hector will show you it in position, he's  very nice like that.

Hope this helps.

HectorLooi,

Is that the same spring from your earlier photos?  I ask because the click end in your first photo looks shorter and tapered in comparison to your last photo.

Thanks for the last photo by the way.  It will help everyone see that the straight end needs to rest against the central boss so the curved end can rap around it while winding.

Great photos

So I have this Leon Piradet watch I picked up a couple days ago, and I'm trying to get a balance for it, but I didn't know what the movement was.

And now, sitting here sipping coffee, I read this post...and here's this movement which looks just like it.  I've been checking now, and it's a 2414 all right.  So I can now confirm that Hector seems to have the click spring installed correctly (or at least the same way as mine). Suddenly all these Slava 2414.  Must've been more common than I thought.

And now I hope to locate a balance for mine - unless one of you needs parts?

Hi Shane,

Yes, it's the same spring. The ends of the spring are bent at right angles and in opposite directions. One goes into the hole in the bridge and the other end rests in the notch in the click.

Yes.  It's just the click ends look different.

Probably just lighting within the photos.
