Another simple clock repair

Fixed this one for an old friend.  Sessions USA...guessing post WWI to 1930s.  The clock was already in pretty good shape.  Pretty sure that it has been serviced in modern times and the quality of the work was very good.  Looks like new mainsprings and new clicks.

All I had to do was to disassemble, clean, reassemble and oil.  It is running on the bench now.

The basic style of movement is common among clock makers.  One think I wonder...why not mount the escape wheel busing arm with a screw?  This would totally simplify assembly.  Cost maybe...dunno.  Perhaps the concern of a screw stripping out during successive repairs.  Just curious.
