Casio with Miyota Movement.

Recommended Posts

I have a Casio MTD-1045.  It has a Miyota 2S60 movement.  Depending on what websites I look at this movement is a chronograph or it only has hour, minute, second hands with date at 3.  As you can see the normal battery for this movement is a small but Casio seems to have added a spacer is using the CR2012 battery sitting over the movement.

Is this normal?

I need a new stem but when I search for the part using the movement number I get 2 different part numbers?

Is there a way to determine by looking which might be the one?

Thanks.

Certainly is not a chronograph.

Yes. The actual battery is the CR2012, the slot for the silver oxide battery is (confusingly) there because it shares most parts with the more economical 1Mxx series.

The Miyota website: https://miyotamovement.com/product/2S60/
A special long stem is needed only on big watches like 45mm and above, beside one can do with a stem extender anyway.
