Balance staff specs for Saxony 1 jewel Sheffield dialed pendant watch

Hello,

I have come across an interesting specimen of a 12 1/2 pendant watch with "Sheffield" on the dial and Saxony Watch CO 1 jewel stamped on the caliber.

It is a cheaply made watch from 50s or 60s by the looks of it, I am looking for any balance staff specs for this caliber. Neither Ronda or DCN have Saxony listed.

I would reccomend looking up the bestfit books placed on this site by OH a while ago and check the keyless work against the ones in the identification section.  In the search lookup meadafire as this is what was used to put them up.   I have just checked the link and its still live. It gives access to both volumes 1 and ll.  they are invaluable if working on old/vintage watches.

You don't even need the best fit books sometimes other people will look that up for you but typically nobody wants to give a picture the dial side and we need the diameter. I really hate guessing the size and looking through hundreds of images so typically I don't.

What's interesting about the name is looking online several other people are asking a similar question of basically who made the watch or any information and nobody has any idea.

I agree with your comment John, but if people wish to learn searching and identifying is one way , If some one else does the work you learn nothing. If you have the means at your disposal its easier the next time, Old Hippy kindly shared the documents on the forum for members use.

The calibre is 28mm in diameter, in my "case" it is cased as a lady's pendant watch, but I am pretty sure there are wristwatch models as well.
