Anybody recognize this pocket watch brand? T. G. Thornton and Bro.

A friend sent me this picture and asked if I knew anything about it.  No look with my searches, so I figured I would ask you guys!

I want to see inside, but have not had the opportunity.  It looks like a front opener from my inspection.

The name on the dial is the one of a small town jeweller. As very many others they would buy movements and cases, and match according to customer preference. Pictures of the movement and any logo inside the case should help identifying the actual manufacturers.

With the knurling on the bezel I would say it's a screw on. jdm is right jewellers would have their name put on the dial not just in America but here in the UK.
