Hello

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been facinated by mechanical watches for as long as I can remember. I am now 42 and I finally decided that I might want to learn how to service and restore old watches. So I purchased an Elgin pocket watch and went right on ripping it apart and putting it back together. Broke some parts along the way but the education was invaluable. Sense then I have collected a small number of American pocket watches and now I'm moving onto wrist watches.

I stumbled onto this sight wile I was searching the net for a Waltham crown. (Still searching for that one :)

I am so glad I found this place and I look forward to learning as much as I can.

Hi Daniel - welcome to the forum. My interest in watches started with American RR grade pocket watches - Elgin, Hamilton, Waltham, etc. - then the wrist watch interest kicked in. Lots of expertise and friendship here!
